Man charged with murder after woman found dead inside home in Ferntree Gully

Police have charged a man with murder after a woman was found dead inside a home in Melbourne’s east.

Emergency services were called to the Ferntree Gully home around 10am on Friday and found an injured woman.

Despite their attempts to revive the 30-year-old, she was declared dead.

A 45-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken into custody. He has since been charged with one count of murder.

The man faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday night where he was remanded in custody to reappear in February next year.
