This seven-seat SUV is now under $30,000 after a $10,000 price cut
Mahindra already had the cheapest seven-seat vehicle in Australia, but now a new offer has made it the cheapest by a country mile.
The Mahindra XUV700 is being offered with a $10,000 discount in base AX7 trim, bringing its price down to $29,990 drive-away. The top-spec AX7L has received a slightly smaller $9000 discount, slashing the price to $33,990 drive-away.
That makes both members of the XUV700 lineup significantly cheaper than the Chery Tiggo 8 , which was Australia’s cheapest seven-seater at $38,990 drive-away until Mahindra announced a $37,990 drive-away offer for the flagship XUV700 AX7L in July 2026.
The latest discount offer is valid until October 31, 2026, and applies only to vehicles built in 2025.

The last time a seven-seat SUV slid under the $30,000 barrier in Australia was in 2021 with the XUV700’s predecessor, the XUV500.
Despite its sub-$30,000 price tag, the XUV700 AX7 – almost identical in length and width to the Toyota RAV4, but with a third row of seating – comes standard with the following equipment:
It’s unclear how much this new offer will juice XUV700 sales, as Mahindra doesn’t report its sales figures in monthly VFACTS industry sales reports.
The offer comes after Mahindra launched an updated XUV700, rechristened the XUV 7XO, in its home market of India earlier this year.
This update brings freshened exterior styling and a revised dashboard featuring a pillar-to-pillar screen array comprising a digital instrument cluster and central and passenger touchscreen displays.
