Elliot Page hasn't been getting film offers after The Odyssey

The 39-year-old actor is convinced he could deliver "some of his best work", but his career hasn't blossomed after his powerful performance as Sinon in Christopher Nolan's epic.

Asked if he's "getting a zillion calls" after his latest film, Elliot told the On Film... With Kevin McCarthy podcast: "No, Kevin, I'm not! So, if someone wants to call me..."

The Juno star, who came out as transgender in 2020, quipped: "I know I get some pushback for being — Canadian? I don’t know what it’s about.”

Elliot recalled feeling "personally really uncomfortable" when he first worked with Nolan on 2010's Inception, which came years before his transition.

He explained: "I’d really love to do, ideally, good work. That’s what I’d love to do.

"And I feel like I’m in a place where, you know, it is actually interesting when you ask me about maybe, I don’t know, if this is weird or too personal.

"But when you do ask me about Ariadne [in Inception], I had such a great time being in that movie, I had such a great time working with Chris, but I was also personally really uncomfortable."

On Juno, Elliot felt "a little bit more comfortable and embodied", and now he's in a much better place.

He added: "But I feel now, ’cause that’s removed and I don’t have to deal with that in my acting in my performances, I’m like, ‘I feel like I could do some of my best work now.’"

Elliot showed off his ripped physique in The Odyssey, and he's loved his fitness journey over the last few years.

Earlier this year, he showed off his figure in an Instagram post, and wrote: "I’ve been incredibly fortunate to train with @coachnol.

"He’s a brilliant teacher, not just in the way he breaks down complex movements, but also in his strategic understanding of boxing and his thoughtful approach to the psychological side of the sport.

"Training with Nolan has become an essential part of my life. If you’re in NYC and looking, I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Back in 2023, the Umbrella Academy actor explained that he has turned to virtual reality to keep up with boxing when he's on the road.
