Pair charged with murder after human remains found south of Brisbane
A man and a woman have been charged with murder after police found what they believe are the remains of a missing person south of Brisbane.
Police said a 46-year-old man was reported missing from Beenleigh in March 2022.
Following extensive investigations over the past four years, detectives executed a search warrant on Monday at a property on Old Trafford Road at Bethania, near Logan, where they allegedly discovered human remains.
A crime scene was declared and detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch remained at the property.
Two people – a 52-year-old Bethania man and a 45-year-old Windaroo woman – have been charged with murder and interference with a corpse.
