Murder probe under way following death of 28yo Perth woman
A 28-year-old woman has died after being found inside a home with critical injuries, with a man now being questioned over her death.
The woman was found unresponsive at a home on Taree Street at St James, a southern suburb of Perth, at about 8.30pm on Wednesday.
The woman was rushed to the Royal Perth Hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.
Police have now confirmed a 38-year-old man is being questioned over the woman’s death.
“Detectives from the homicide squad are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 28-year-woman in St James on Wednesday, August 26,” Western Australia Police said in a statement.
“A 38-year-old man known to the woman is in custody and currently assisting police with inquiries.”
As of Thursday morning, there continued to be a police presence in the area, as officers investigate.
