Sydney Swans stand by culture as club details reasons behind player sanctions

The Sydney Swans players involved in an alleged sexual assault investigation will sit out the remainder of the 2026 season, the club has confirmed.

"Sydney Swans players Riley Bice, Nick Blakey, Isaac Heeney, James Jordon and Chad Warner will not be considered for selection for the remainder of the 2026 AFL Season," the Sydney Swans said in a statement on Wednesday morning.

It maintained the decision was independent of the police investigation.

"We respect there is an ongoing investigation by Victoria Police and the actions we have taken today are independent of this."
