Kacey Musgraves launches X-rated intimate care product inspired by Dry Spell

Kacey Musgraves is launching a limited edition lube to help fans avoid their own "dry spells".

The 37-year-old star has decided to capitalise on her tongue in cheek hit song Dry Spell by teaming up with wellness brand Medicine Mama on a new intimate care product called Drought Drobs.

She told WWD: "Drought Drops is a cheeky little wink to my song, combined with a great product from Medicine Mama.

The product is a fresh take on Medicine Mama's Intimate Glide lubricant, using the same formula with a special, flirty packaging.

The brand were drawn to working with Kacey after seeing her lighthearted and open approach to songwriting.

Dr. Clare Bertucio, chief executive officer and founding chief medical officer of Medicine Mama, added: "We’ve always believed intimate care deserves the same openness, care and attention as every other part of our health and belongs in our daily routines.

"Kacey has a unique ability to make deeply personal conversations feel universal, bringing honesty, humility and even a little humour to topics that are often left unsaid. Those same values have been at the heart of Medicine Mama since Day One.

"Together, we’re helping make intimate wellness feel less stigmatized, more approachable and maybe even a little more fun. We couldn’t imagine a better partner for this collaboration.”

Kacey previously explained that Dry Spell was inspired by her own actual experience - which ended after "a year and a half, maybe" - and was written to combat people "trying to convince you how much they’ve got going on in that department".

She told Variety: "I just wanted to let people know how little I had going on. It can get really comfortable and easy to stay that way, because you start feeling really protective of bringing transient energy in.

"Like, ‘I’m really peaceful right now. This may or may not make anything better.’

"But then you’re like, ‘Ugh, but I wanna have some fun.’ You really start weighing out: Is it worth it?”

She admitted while fans have enjoyed the playful single, it's not her grandma's "favourite" track.

Asked for her favourite lyric on the LP, she recently told the outlet: “I’ve never talked about self-pleasure before.
