The Sydney destination bringing back 2005 pub prices for one more weekend only

With many Sydneysiders continuing to feel the pinch of rising costs and the pull to stay home through the colder months, Minskys in Cremorne is giving the Lower North Shore an offer it hasn’t seen in two decades.

‘Noughties Pricing’ is running through August and available for one more Monday this month.

Think $5 schooners, $5 wines, $10 schnitzel and chips, and $2 meat raffle tickets, giving locals a reason to get back out at the start of the week.

For less than the price of many pub mains alone, locals can grab a schnitzel, a schooner and even throw a couple of dollars into the meat raffle.

The ‘Noughties’ pricing promotion includes $5 schooners of VB, Carlton, Pure Blonde and Reschs, $5 house wines, $10 schnitzel and chips (compared to 2026’s price of $26), and $2 meat raffle tickets, from 5:30pm.

“Winter can be a tough time to get people out the door,” says Louise Aslan, group marketing manager of Minskys.

“We wanted to give locals a genuine reason to get back out and enjoy a night at the pub without feeling guilty about the bill — that’s what Noughties Pricing is all about.”

Tables are expected to book out quickly, so those wanting to avail of the final deal would do well to book early.

Minskys is a Lower North Shore institution, loved for its loyal crowd, buzzing atmosphere and legendary nights like ‘piano man’ John Watson’s singalongs.

It’s long been known for generous specials, accessible pricing and pub food that’s a cut above the usual classics — the kind of place where great value isn’t just a once-a-year thing.

This makes it hardly a surprise that it’s one of Sydney’s most beloved institutions.

So dust off your Nokia, queue up the Killers and get your mates together for a proper Monday night out, 2005-style, before spring rolls around.
