Wanneroo house fire: Unattended candle believed to spark blaze that damages 60 per cent of home

An unattended candle is believed to have sparked a house fire that tore through a home in Perth’s north on Saturday night.

Emergency crews rushed to the Noel Court property in Wanneroo after receiving multiple calls about 8.45pm.

The blaze was extinguished by 9.20pm but not before flames ripped through about 60 per cent of the home.

About two hours later, fire crews were called to a second house fire in Seville Grove.

The Rason Court blaze was reported about 10.35pm, with about 50 per cent of the home engulfed.

The cause of the Seville Grove fire has been referred to police for investigation.
