Vision emerges of Swans coach Dean Cox hours before players’ alleged Pullman Hotel incident

New vision has emerged of Sydney coach Dean Cox and other football department staff standing on Church Street in the early hours of Monday morning.

At least four Swans players are assisting with police over a report of sexual assault at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne , which allegedly took place later that morning.

The vision, which has been obtained by 7NEWS, was taken just after 12.30am on the night of Sydney’s win over Essendon.

It’s understood the Swans had a club function at Harlow Bar in Richmond, just metres from where Cox and fellow Sydney staff were filmed via CCTV.

Later that morning, a witness at the Pullman pictured the coach speaking to a woman in the foyer amidst the ordeal that had unfolded through the morning.

Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Riley Bice and James Jordon have voluntarily offered their assistance to the police investigation, while Nick Blakey’s manager has denied he had any involvement, though he was held in Melbourne with the other four as the rest of the team returned home to Sydney.

All five have now arrived back in Sydney, having been driven in a hire care to avoid an inevitable throng of media waiting at the airport.

Club management are expected to meet with each of the players at individual offsite locations.

Each player is arranging individual representation for their respective meetings.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday morning at the Swans’ training base, Cox said there is still a lot more to play out in the saga which threatens to derail the Swans’ finals series.

“(I) understand the questions and we’ll update as we gather more information.”

Victoria Police released an updated statement on Tuesday morning, confirming they spoke to a number of people at the hotel, however no one has been arrested or formally interviewed at this time.

“Please note, we do not intend to provide running commentary on the matter and where there are any updates we can release publicly, we will do so,” the statement reads.
