Beau Lamarre-Condon: Court hears former cop stalked his ex-partner in the months before alleged murders
A former police officer had struck fear in his ex-partner by stalking and intimidating both he and his friends in the months before allegedly murdering him, a court has heard.
Beau Lamarre-Condon sat in the Supreme Court in Sydney on Wednesday for the third day of his trial, accused of murdering 26-year-old Jesse Baird and his partner Luke Davies , 29, at Baird’s home in Paddington in February 2024.

Both the Crown and Lamarre-Condon’s defence agree Baird and the now-former police officer had been in an on-and-off relationship throughout the year prior.
While the defence argues the deaths of Baird and Davies was due to Lamarre-Condon acting in self-defence, the Crown is trying to prove he had become obsessed with Baird after they split in November and planned the alleged double murder.
A former partner turned friend of Baird’s took to the stand on Wednesday to testify the 26-year-old had become “petrified” of Lamarre-Condon.
“I’ve never heard him so scared,” the witness told the court, later agreeing Baird told the witness Lamarre-Condon was “stalking” him.
The witness told the court Baird, a producer at Channel 10, was afraid to report the matter to police as Lamarre-Condon was an active police officer.
“(Baird) kept repeating to me: ‘He has a gun’,” the witness recalled, through tears.
“He was worried Beau might make a false allegation against him that could ruin his career because he needed a blue card to work with Channel 10 and the AFL.”
A fellow Channel 10 producer later testified Baird was “a bit agitated at the office” in in November 2023.
She added Baird told her and other colleagues of his struggles with Lamarre-Condon, describing his behaviour as “a bit stalkerish”.
He also believed Lamarre-Condon had blocked men — particularly gay men — on social media while Baird was sleeping.
The witness later said Baird told her about Lamarre-Condon walking past him while he had breakfast near his home in Paddington, despite the accused double-murderer living “nowhere near”.
