Police launch investigation after 15-year-old stabbed in Terrigal
A 15-year-old boy is fighting for life after being stabbed in the NSW coastal town of Terrigal.
Emergency services were called to Painters Lane at around 9:45pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.
After the attack, the boy went to a nearby home on Painters Lane for assistance.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the teenager for a stab wound before he was taken to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Police from the Brisbane Water Police District have been told the boy was with several other teenagers when he was stabbed.
Police have spoken to a number of teenagers who were in the area at the time, but no arrests have been made.
A crime scene was established and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident, or anyone who was in the area at the time and has dashcam or mobile phone footage, to contact Gosford Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
