Padstow crash: Pedestrian narrowly escapes serious injury as car crashes into Sydney service station

Terrifying video has emerged of a man escaping serious injury after a car violently crashed into a Sydney service station.

Seemingly normal footage from Reddit shows a white ute turning into a service station in Padstow at about 4.50pm on Friday, August 28.

A black sedan is then pictured, swerving across several lanes before attempting to turn into the station.

The car then skids across the curb and crashes into a roadside sign, flooring a nearby pedestrian.

The sedan continues its trajectory into the thankfully empty bowser, which appears to partially collapse onto a vehicle on the opposite side.

Bystanders are filmed rushing to help the driver as what appears to be smoke or dust balloons from the car.

Both the driver and the pedestrian were lucky to escape without injury.

“The sedan driver was. . .subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a negative result,” a police statement said.

Police say a 33-year-old man was issued an infringement notice for negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm).
