Sarah Ferguson set for ‘return to Britain’

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s former wife, 66, disappeared from public view after she and the former prince were evicted from Royal Lodge in February.

The former Duchess of York relinquished her title alongside Mountbatten-Windsor in October 2025 after repeated revelations about his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

A few weeks later, the King confirmed that his brother would be stripped of his remaining titles and that he and Ferguson would have to surrender the lease on their Windsor property.

Her expected return will come just days after the London Telegraph revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had come back to Britain from the United States with their two children.

According to The Sun , Ferguson will rent a six-bedroom gated property in the Home Counties.

The newspaper reported that removal vans had been seen collecting items of hers from Mountbatten-Windsor’s home in Sandringham, Norfolk, this week.

Ferguson is due to move into the property “imminently” and as soon as next week, according to the report.

In the time since leaving Royal Lodge, Ferguson is believed to have been given refuge at a chalet in Verbier, an exclusive Swiss ski resort.

The property belonged to Paddy McNally, the racing tycoon who was one of her closest friends before his death last month aged 88.

There has been speculation that McNally may have left the cash-strapped Ferguson a slice of his estimated £600 million ($1.1 billion) fortune.

Most recently, Ferguson is said to have visited Princess Eugenie in Portugal to help care for her newborn granddaughter, Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, who was born in August.

She had previously been seen at a wellness clinic in Austria before taking sanctuary at McNally’s Verbier property, valued at £15 million.

Following revelations in the Epstein Files, Thames Valley Police began investigating Mountbatten-Windsor earlier this year .

Documents appeared to show Mountbatten-Windsor forwarding official reports to Jeffrey Epstein, the paedophile financier, about trips he took to Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and China as a government trade envoy.
