Man allegedly wounded in Southport parkland as second man found injured
Two men have been taken to hospital after one reported being wounded in a park where another man was later found with an injured hand.
Emergency services were called to reports a man had sustained a wound to his face at a unit on Scarborough St in Southport, Gold Coas t, about 5.30am.
“The man told police he was in the parkland at Southport a short period earlier when, he alleges, he was wounded by another man,” Queensland Police Service (QPS) said.
A short time later, police located a second man in the parkland with a wound to his hand.
He was also taken to hospital for treatment and is under police guard to assist with ongoing investigations.
Police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
