Man in 50s rushed to hospital after shark attack north of Geraldton in WA
A man has been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a shark at a popular surfing beach north of Geraldton, in Western Australia.
It has been reported St John Ambulance said a man in his 50s was taken to Geraldton Hospital under priority one conditions.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) said in an alert it was working with local authorities to co-ordinate a response, with further information expected as it becomes available.
Beachgoers have been urged to take extra caution around Glenfield Beach and follow any closures issued by local authorities or Surf Life Saving WA.
