Dealsheet submitted as summer deadline approaches Beto and Ndiaye allowed to leave by David Moyes Everton were involved in a desperate scramble to sign US international Folarin Balogun from Monaco at the end of a hectic deadline day that featured the return of Jack Grealish and around £90m raised in player sales.

Everton had agreed a £40m deal for Balogun only for issues with the striker’s medical to place the transfer in doubt after the Merseyside club had sold Beto to Fiorentina and Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City.

Enquiries were made to Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee and Aston Villa for Tammy Abraham but proposed loans for both forwards were rejected.
