Mother Monster: Lady Gaga welcomes first child with fiance

Lady Gaga has welcomed her first child with her music producer fiance Michael Polansky, US news outlets reveal.

The couple welcomed their baby earlier this year, although the sex, date of birth and other details have not been revealed.

Page Six was first to confirm the news, after Gaga was recently photographed holding a baby in her arms while walking with Polansky in northern California.

Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, have been together for nearly seven years and announced their engagement in July 2024.

The couple has largely kept their relationship private, with Gaga previously describing Polansky as someone who has had a significant influence on both her personal life and creative work.

The singer has spoken of her desire to become a mother many times over the years.

“I will say I am very excited to have kids,” she told InStyle in 2020. “I look forward to being a mum. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”

Appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in October 2025, Gaga said: “I would like to do many things ... But what I really want is to be a mum. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”
