Mum-of-three Evette Wallington, 29, killed in freak workplace incident at Osborne Park tow truck yard

A hardworking mother of three girls has been identified as the 29-year-old woman killed in a “freak” incident at Perth tow truck yard.

Evette Wallington, 29, was unloading a car from a tow truck tilt tray when a fatal incident occurred about 5.40am on Tuesday.

Emergency services rushed to Auto Tow Services in Osborne Park, but Ms Wallington could not be saved and died at the scene.

Cameron Christmass created a GoFundMe for Ms Wallington’s family to support them during this “tough time.”

“Words cannot describe the pain and hurt we all are feeling at this time. She was amazing, hard working, amazing mother too her three beautiful daughters.

Friends paid tribute to Ms Wallington on social media, describing her as a much-loved partner, mother, friend and colleague.

“There are some tragedies that leave a whole community struggling to find the words,” a person commented.

“Evette leaves behind her partner … and their children, who are now facing an unimaginable loss and a future without the person they love.

“No words can take away the pain of losing Evette, and no amount of money can ever replace her, but we can come together and make sure. the family … have some support around them while they navigate the days, weeks and months ahead.”

WorkSafe investigators were at the business within hours of the incident occurring and were seen speaking with witnesses as they began examining the scene.

WorkSafe Commissioner Sally North relayed her sincere condolences to the woman’s family, friends and colleagues.

“WorkSafe investigators thoroughly examine the circumstances of incidents with a view to ensuring compliance and preventing future incidents of a similar nature,” a spokesman said.
