Two fighting for life after police car crashes into side of house after wild pursuit through Bossley Park
Two people are fighting for life after two cars, including a police car, crashed into the side of two houses in Sydney’s southwest.
Emergency services were called to Prairie Vale Rd in Bossley Park after reports of a crash about 12.20pm Sundays.
Police were responding to reports of a child running on the motorway when the cop car and a Kia sedan collided.
The police car had its lights and sirens activated at the time of the incident.
The two cars then left the roadway before crashing through a fence and smashing into two different houses.
The driver of the Kia sedan, a woman believed to be aged inhere late 20s, was treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
The passenger, a woman in her early 50s, was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
The two police officers, both constables aged 24, were taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing and treatment of minor injuries.
A critical incident has been declared with officers from the Crash Investigation Unit on the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“The investigation will be subject of an independent review by the Professional Standards Command and oversight by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission,” a police statement read.
