Perth traffic: Motorists warned to be aware of road closures for Sunday’s City to Surf fun run
Perth motorists are being warned to plan ahead with roads across the city set to close on Sunday as thousands of runners, walkers and spectators descend on the CBD for the City to Surf.
Local and main roads along the event route will be impacted throughout Sunday as Perth transforms for one of the city’s biggest annual fun runs.
Traffic management crews will be stationed at road closure points to direct motorists around the course but drivers have been warned access across parts of the route will be restricted.
Some intersections will remain open for motorists to cross the event course — but only during specific time windows.
Once closures come into effect, no traffic will be permitted through those intersections until the final participant has passed.
Parking restrictions will also be in place along sections of the route, with motorists warned infringements and towing may apply.
