Police allege children were living among guns, cash and illicit drugs in Adelaide
Four children were allegedly inside an Adelaide home where police say they uncovered guns, cash and a massive haul of illicit drugs during an evening raid.
Detectives searched the Angle Vale property about 5.45pm on Tuesday, allegedly finding firearms and drug‑related items before uncovering ”significant quantities” of methamphetamine, cocaine and MDMA hidden throughout the home.
Police made immediate notifications to the Department for Child Protection and arrangements have been made to ensure the children’s safety and ongoing care.
In total, officers allegedly seized about 9.2kg of methamphetamine, 3.3kg of cocaine, 232g of MDMA, more than $80,000 in cash, and two revolver handguns.
A 33‑year‑old man and a 22‑year‑old woman, both from Angle Vale, were arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of drugs, possessing a prescribed precursor, firearms offences and money laundering.
Police bail was refused and both are expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
