Samsung has just slashed the price of its TVs for 48 hours only, with up to $2,800 off
It’s footy finals season, and if that suddenly creates the urge for you to upgrade the TV, this sale was made for you.
Samsung has launched a 48-hour TV and AV flash sale , with select televisions reduced by up to 40 per cent and selected speakers discounted by up to 50 per cent.
The catch, because there is always a catch with a flash sale, is that you have until 11am on Wednesday, September 16 to shop the deals.
The sale kicked off at 11am today, September 14, so this is very much a two-day situation rather than a ‘I’ll come back to it later’ situation.
The code to remember is FLASHTV9 , which needs to be applied at checkout.
And while Samsung’s sale has some serious headline-grabbing discounts , the Mini LED range is where I would be looking first.
Prices have been reduced even further for the flash sale, with the 55-inch Mini LED M1EH now $664.30 , down from $949.
If your idea of a good Friday night involves settling in for the footy with an enormous screen and absolutely no intention of leaving the sofa, the 85-inch version is now $1,609.30 instead of $2,299.
Samsung’s 55-inch OLED S95H 4K Vision AI Smart TV has dropped from $3,999 to $2,799.30, saving $1,199.70.
But the headline deal has to be the enormous 83-inch OLED S85F 4K Vision AI Smart TV . It has been reduced from $6,999 to $4,199.40, which is a $2,799.60 saving.
It is also worth flagging that the sale selection is not the same across Samsung’s entire TV line-up. Micro RGB, Neo QLED and two OLED models have been removed from the promotional selection, so if you have been eyeing a particular model, I would not assume it will still be included later.
The flash sale also extends beyond screens. Selected Samsung speakers are up to 50 per cent off with the same FLASHTV9 code, including the Music Studio 5, which has dropped from $499 to $299.40, and the Music Studio 7, now $449.40 instead of $749.
For something with considerably more party potential, the Sound Tower MX-ST40F has been cut in half from $479 to $239.50. The 240-watt MX-ST50F has received the same 50 per cent discount, dropping from $699 to $349.50.
So, if your living room is about to become headquarters for the footy finals, this is probably the moment to look at the TV you’ve been tolerating all year.
