Pedestrian hit by car in chaotic service station fight in Melbourne
A young man was hit by a car after a during a fight that broke out at a Melbourne service station on Saturday night.
Two men got into the physical altercation with a third man outside the Swan St BP about 7.45pm.
“During the altercation, one of the men — who was aged in his 40s or 50s — got back inside his white Subaru and while driving off appears to have struck one of the other two men,” Victoria Police said.
The man who was struck, a 21-year-old Edithvale man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The third man left the service station before police arrived, but was located on Coppin St with apparent facial injuries.
An independent witness to the fight between the three men was also injured when he tried to intervene. The 28-year-old man from Cremorne also declined paramedics’ assistance, and said that he would seek medical treatment on his own.
No arrests have been made, but a manhunt is now on for the Subaru driver, as police search for the car he fled in.
