Homicide detectives arrest suspect after woman dies with critical injuries in Perth

A homicide probe has been launched after the death of a woman in Perth on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old woman was found unresponsive with critical injuries inside a home on Taree St at St James, in the inner southeast suburbs, about 8.30pm.

Paramedics alerted police and rushed the woman, who was fighting for life, to Royal Perth Hospital.

Homicide detectives have arrested a 38-year-old man known to the woman.

He is currently being interviewed by police but no charges have been laid at this stage.
