Hunt on for newest millionaire as winning Weekday Windfall ticket sold in Adelaide
A major Aussie city has a brand new millionaire in its ranks – they just don’t know it yet.
The Lott has confirmed that a Weekday Windfall ticket purchased in Adelaide has scooped a cool $1m.
However, the lucky winner is yet to reveal themselves and the prize sits unclaimed.
The mystery millionaire was the only ticket holder to win in the division one category following Wednesday’s draw.
The ticket was purchased from Topz Shopz in Dorothy St, Brahma Lodge, a suburb Adelaide’s north.
Rebecca Schultz, the store’s assistant manager, said the team had been sharing the news with customers in the hope of finding the winner.
“We’re hoping the mystery winner makes an appearance soon – it’s very exciting,” she said.
She added that it had been “a few years” since the shop had bagged a winner, but it had previously sold two division one tickets – one worth $13m.
“We’ve been telling everybody to check their tickets – $1m is life changing, so we can’t wait for the person to realise their good fortune,” Ms Schultz said.
The winning numbers for draw 4747 were 13, 10, 7, 22, 29 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 24.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Weekday Windfall entry from Topz Shopz Brahma Lodge to check their tickets today,” The Lott spokesman Khat McIntyre said.
“Imagine if the ticket that’s sitting in your glovebox, tucked in your purse or by your bedside table is worth $1m.”
The lucky winner becomes the 243rd person to come up trumps in the division one category so far this year – and the 21st in South Australia.
