Cupra Terramar VZ Tribe Edition brings sustainable style upgrades

Cupra Australia has confirmed a "strictly limited" run of special-edition Terramar SUVs, which are available to order now ahead of deliveries commencing in October.

The 2026 Cupra Terramar VZ Tribe Edition is available in two versions, both based on the performance leaning VZ grade with its 195kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

Highlights for both the 'Black' and 'Green' design themes include distinctive 3D-knitted seat upholstery with 100 per cent recycled materials in the seat centres, while Sulfur Green trim highlights throughout are finished with a specially formulated bio-based paint.

Cupra has applied sustainable materials into the general construction of the vehicle too, with "some 30 per cent" of the interior plastics utilising recycled materials, while the new alloy wheel designs likewise incorporate up to 20 per cent recycled materials.

The Tribe Edition Green features distinctive Manganese Green matte exterior paint to match the Sulfur Green accents on the exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels as well as the seat upholstery and interior trims.

Alternatively, the Tribe Edition Black is finished in Midnight Black with exclusive 20-inch 'gravity' alloy wheels in a blacked-out design.

Both models feature the usually optional panoramic glass sunroof as standard, as well as 'dark chrome' exterior details in place of the Spanish brand's usual flourishes of copper.

Just 10 examples of the Tribe Edition Green are available to Australian customers, and a further 35 units of the Tribe Edition Black.

As for pricing, the Tribe Edition Black is priced from $70,490 plus on-road costs or $75,490 drive-away, representing a $2000 premium over the base VZ's nationwide drive-away sticker.

The Tribe Edition Green's matte paint finish ups the base price to $73,390 plus on-roads or $78,390 drive-away, $2000 dearer than a Terramar VZ with matte paint – a $2900 option over the base car's pricing.

As noted earlier, both Terramar VZ Tribe Editions are available to order from today, with first customer deliveries commencing in October 2026.

The VZ Tribe Editions are covered by the same five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty as the wider Cupra lineup, with five years of roadside assistance. A five-year pre-paid service pack is available for $2690.

The confirmation of the Terramar VZ Tribe Editions for Australia follows the global reveal of similar editions based on the Cupra Terramar, Formentor and Leon last year.
