Forget boring beige: This new rug collection is perfect for a splash of colour

Making your house a home can more often than not rely heavily on one simple decision — to rug or not to rug.

One tiny furniture choice can completely make or break the feel of a home, whether it’s cosy and quiet comfort that you are after or bold and unique style choice.

A quality rug can create a safe space whilst single handily leaving a mark on people that stays with them as they enjoy your space.

Miss Amara have now unveiled a new collection that marks the return of soft patterns and timeless colours that feel familiar the moment you step into a space.

More often then not, choosing a rug is the final style choice that brings your whole space together.

From the living room, dining room and even the hallway — there are endless opportunities where you can create a comforting space or bold statement in just one choice.

And with Miss Amara’s new Heirloom collection bringing designs that combine timeless patterns with colours that feel “lived-in”, the choices become vast.

For Co-Founder and Creative Director Alexandra Weller, Heirloom responds to a shift towards homes that feel warmer, more layered and more personal.

“After years of very clean minimalism, we wanted to explore pattern in a quieter way,” says Weller.

“The motifs are softened and layered through a single colour family, so the rugs bring character to a room without asking everything around them to compete. They have the feeling of something found and kept, but are made for the way we live now.”

With the rise of vintage and upcycled fashion, Miss Amara’s new collection draws inspiration from the charm and charisma that comes with the vintage and heritage style so many of us are falling back in love with.

From rich textures to bold statements, the pieces not only add an additional layer of depth to your space but also character.

“A rug is often the first element that turns an empty room into somewhere that feels lived in,” says Weller.

“With Heirloom, the colour and pattern establish the mood, but the low pile and durable construction mean the rugs can remain part of everyday family life.”
