This easy-lift dishwasher solves an age-old problem with loading: Midea Easy-Lift Dishwasher review
Doing the dishes is one of those chores that can either be immensely satisfying or an absolute pain in the back.
The Midea Easy-Lift ($1,099; Bing Lee) aims to combat the back breaking bottom basket bend by letting you lift the lower level to a much more accessible height.
We’ve been testing out the Midea Easy-Lift Dishwasher, and honestly it’s very impressive.
While the lifting lower basket is the headline feature for this dishwasher, it definitely is not the only trick Midea have up their sleeve.
It seems like a give, but the first thing you want a dishwasher to do is well, wash your dishes... And for $1,099 you’d want it to do a pretty good job of it.
The Midea Easy-Lift has a bunch of smart features that help to keep your dishes looking mint.
There are sensors inside the dishwasher that detect how dirty your dishes are and automatically the flow rate, temperature etc to best suit your needs. In testing we found this to be pretty good at getting a good result.
For the times you don’t have a big enough load to fill the whole dishwasher, there is also the option to run the upper or lower zones independently.
This is particularly handy when you might just have a few glasses and bowls from brekky but dont want to wait around for the dinner dishes to put on a load.
Another interesting feature that caught my eye is the Ion Dishfresh technology.
Essentially the Midea Easy Lift uses negatively charged ions to help fight odours and bacteria.
Midea say that this tech can eliminate 99.8 per cent of bacteria, now in the absence of tech to be able to properly test this what I can say is dishes feel very clean and I reckon it would be a pretty accurate number.
A little feature that is underrated with this dishwasher and a lot of Midea’s dishwashers is the ActiveOpen Dry feature.
Essentially when the dishwasher is done, it pops the door open to let the steam out and lets fresh air in. Seems like a small deal but honestly it makes a huge difference.
