West Coast great Ben Cousins is getting behind Fremantle’s premiership push on the eve of the most highly anticipated finals series in club history.

The Dockers will host Hawthorn in a sold-out qualifying final at Optus Stadium on Thursday night.

Joining hundreds of Fremantle supporters who have already shared their messages of support for the men in purple, Cousins said the minor premiers have what it takes to claim the club’s first flag.

“Just want to, on the eve of the finals series, wish you guys all the very best,” Cousins said in a video message on PerthNow’s Freo Fan Board.

“For what it’s worth, I’ve loved watching the football that you’ve played this year and the position that you’ve worked yourself into.

“It is the best time of year. You do still have it all ahead of you but I do think your footy stacks up so get after it and take this amazing opportunity.
