Tell us about your experience and what supports and awareness are needed for our new series Get our breaking news email , free app or daily news podcast Dementia deaths more than doubled in Australia in the 15 years between 2009 and 2024, the latest available data shows, making it one of the most urgent public health issues.

According to the peak body Dementia Australia, without significant intervention more than 1 million Australians will be living with dementia by 2065.
