CFMEU headquarters raided by detectives from Victoria Police
Five men have been arrested in a raid on the CFMEU headquarters in Melbourne.
Taskforce Hawk detectives arrived at the union’s Elizabeth Street headquarters about 9.30am and were spotted leaving the building just before 12pm.
A Victoria Police spokesman said five people had been taken into custody and were “being interviewed by police”.
It is unclear why the raid has taken place, or what the men were arrested for.
The incident comes just 10 days after former union heavyweight John Setka was arrested at his home in Footscray and charged with one count of using a telecommunications device to menace and two counts of committing an indictable offence while on bail.
