Lady Gaga: Documents reveal the gender, name and date of birth of the singer’s first baby

New details have emerged about Lady Gaga’s baby after the singer quietly became a first-time mother.

According to documents obtained by multiple US outlets, the global superstar and her fiance Michael Polansky welcomed a baby girl named Rose Bean Polansky on June 9, 2026.

TMZ was the first to report the news, after obtaining the baby’s birth certificate which revealed she was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

The baby was reportedly delivered by doctor-to-the-stars, Dr Robert Katz.

An insider told People magazine the name was inspired by the song La Vie En Rose, which Gaga sang while starring in the 2018 movie A Star Is Born.

Gaga also has a large tattoo on her spine of a single rose on a long stem with the words “la vie en rose” written in script beside it.

Rose’s middle name Bean likely comes from American activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga’s song Born This Way.

Page Six was first to confirm the happy news, after Gaga was recently photographed holding a baby in her arms while walking with Polansky in northern California.

Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, have been together for nearly seven years and announced their engagement in July 2024.

The couple have largely kept their relationship private, with Gaga previously describing Polansky as someone who has had a significant influence on both her personal life and creative work.

The singer has spoken of her desire to become a mother many times over the years.

“I will say I am very excited to have kids,” she told InStyle in 2020.

“I look forward to being a mum. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”
