Pedestrian dies after being hit by car at Kalamunda Central
An elderly pedestrian has died after she was struck by a vehicle in a shopping centre car park.
The 90-year-old woman was hit by a black Ford Ranger in the car park of Kalamunda Central in Kalamunda, a suburb of Perth ‘s east, about 2.30pm on Thursday, police said.
Major Crash investigators cordoned of an area next to a car wash, and shoppers walked out to the distressing scene.
Some were unable to reach their vehicles for three hours, as police began their probe into the circumstances behind the tragedy.
A 24-year-old male driver is assisting police and his vehicle has been taken away.
