Steffie Waters deletes engagement pic with Isaac Heeney pic amid Sydney Swans scandal
Steffie Waters, the fiancée of Sydney superstar Isaac Heeney, has made a curious move on social media as the fallout into the alleged sexual assault scandal continues.
Waters has removed a pinned picture of herself with Heeney celebrating their engagement from October last year.
The photo was one of her three pinned posts that appears at the top of her grid, but it has now been replaced by another post.
But Waters hasn’t removed any other photos of Heeney from her page with the Sydney player still featuring prominently. Although comments have been removed or limited on the majority of her posts.
Waters hasn’t posted since the scandal broke last month. She had travelled to Noosa in the aftermath, but hasn’t addressed the situation publicly amid rumours of a split.
He had boasted 115,000 followers before the account was seemingly deleted or suspended around three weeks ago .
The investigation into Heeney and Swans teammates Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon and Riley Bice remains ongoing.
The five players were all suspended for the rest of the AFL season for breaching club standards.
Separately, a police investigation into sexual assault allegations related to what allegedly took place in a room at East Melbourne’s Pullman Hotel is ongoing.
Earlier this month, detectives travelled to New South Wales to conduct interviews and confirmed they have spoken to four people as part of their investigation.
Bice was later revealed to be the player not interviewed , and has essentially been cleared by investigators.
But police did say they spoke to or will speak to three more men, including Bice, believed to be in the room at the time of the incident, who are being treated solely as witnesses.
No charges have been laid by police and 7NEWS is not suggesting any criminal wrongdoing by any of the players interviewed.
Police also said there might not be a further update until late October or November.
