The viral Korean skincare treatment has landed at Chemist Warehouse for just $18.99

K-beauty has a new addition to the Australian skincare shelf, and this one is designed to be used just once a week.

Skin Republic’s Microdart Serum Ampoule + Spicule has arrived at Chemist Warehouse for $18.99, offering a six-treatment introduction to the increasingly popular spicule skincare trend.

The treatment uses tiny natural spicules rather than traditional needles, creating a micro-stimulation sensation when applied to the skin.

It is paired with familiar skincare ingredients including niacinamide and moringa, with the formula designed to leave skin looking smoother, more even and refreshed.

For anyone whose bathroom shelf is already overflowing with serums, creams and masks, the once-a-week format is perhaps the most appealing part.

The treatment comes in six individually sealed 2ml sachets , with each sachet designed for one application.

The routine is deliberately straightforward. After cleansing, apply the serum to the skin while avoiding the eye and lip areas, then gently pat and press it in to absorb.

A mild tingling sensation or temporary redness may occur following application, according to the product information, so it is worth following the directions carefully when introducing the treatment into your routine.

Skin Republic says independent testing was conducted on 22 participants over four weeks using Antera 3D CS, an instrumental skin analysis system from Miravex Limited in Ireland.

The testing recorded a 34 per cent reduction in visible pore count and a 31 per cent reduction in wrinkle depth over the study period. Participants also showed improvements in the appearance of skin texture and pigmentation during the testing period.
