Northern Ontario man pleads guilty to trying to kill his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend with a sword

A man from the northeastern Ontario town of Cobalt has pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the sword attack on his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend in 2024.

Phillipe Rivard Gagnon, 20, entered the plea in Haileybury court this week.
