PenderFund Capital Management Announces a Change to its Mutual Fund Line Up

Financial Post ·

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — PenderFund Capital Management Ltd. (“Pender”) today announced its intention to terminate the Pender Alternative Arbitrage Fund (the “Fund”) on or about October 30, 2026 (the “Termination Date”). Unitholders will not be required to take any action in connection with the termination of the Fund.

Effective today, the Manager has suspended the right of unitholders to redeem their units for the notice period ahead of the termination in order to ensure the fair distribution of the Fund’s net assets. During this period, systematic plans will be halted. Transfers in-kind to other financial institutions will continue to be permitted.

After payment of the liabilities of the Fund, each unitholder registered as such at the close of business on the Termination Date will be entitled to receive their proportionate share of the value of the Fund in accordance with the number of units which they then hold. All residual income and capital gains earned by the Fund will be allocated to unitholders prior to the Termination Date. On or about November 2, 2026, each unitholder will be paid their proportionate share of the value of the Fund and their units will be redeemed.

A welcome email is on its way. If you don't see it, please check your junk folder.

A notice regarding the termination has been sent to all unitholders of the Fund.

For more information regarding the termination, unitholders may contact Pender at [email protected] .
