High-risk sex offender moving into Surrey, police warn
Surrey police has issued a warning about a designated high-risk offender with a history of sexual offences against women moving into the community.
Skylar Wayne Pelletier, 26, has a history of violent and sexual offences, including offences against women, said Surrey police.
At 16, Pelletier was found guilty of breaking into a Vancouver home in September 2016 for the purpose of committing sexual assault. He had also pleaded guilty to separate incidents of assaults and indecent acts.
Pelletier was the subject of a similar warning by the Vancouver Police Department in 2024 after he moved into a halfway house.

In 2025, he was arrested after a woman reported a man masturbating in the laneway and peeping into homes near Woodland Drive and East Broadway. He was found guilty of breaching a long-term supervision order.
Pelletier is described as Indigenous, 6 foot 2 inches tall, with a heavy build.
He will be under electronic monitoring, said police, and is required to comply with several conditions, including not going within two blocks of the 2500-block Woodland Drive in Vancouver and not buying, possessing or using alcohol or drugs.
Investigators asks anyone who sees Pelletier breaching his release conditions to call 911.
