Financial Post ·

Index serves as the underlying benchmark for the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (GDXJ)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Liberty Gold Corp. (TSX: LGD; OTCQX: LGDTF) (“Liberty Gold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce its inclusion in the MVIS® Global Junior Gold Miners Index announced September 11, 2026, and effective September 18, 2026, following the implementation of the September semi-annual index review.

The Index is the underlying benchmark for the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (“GDXJ”), which seeks to replicate, as closely as possible, the price and yield performance of the Index.

Jon Gilligan, President and CEO of Liberty Gold, commented: “Inclusion in the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index represents another step in Liberty Gold’s continued evolution as a leading North American gold development company. As we advance Black Pine through detailed engineering and permitting, we remain focused on disciplined execution. This consolidates a credible path through financing, approvals, construction and operations, delivering long-term value for shareholders. Index inclusion should further expand Liberty Gold’s visibility, liquidity profile and accessibility among institutional and retail investors.”

The MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index tracks the performance of liquid, small-capitalization companies principally involved in the global gold and silver mining industries. The Index is reviewed semi-annually in March and September.

Liberty Gold is a U.S.-focused gold company advancing Black Pine, its 100% owned oxide gold project in Idaho, located within the Great Basin, one of the world’s most productive and mining-friendly gold regions. Black Pine is a large-scale, past-producing, run-of-mine heap leachable gold deposit progressing through feasibility and permitting toward a modern open-pit mining operation. The Company’s strategy is centered on advancing high-quality, long-life gold assets, with a clear focus on technical simplicity, strong environmental performance, project executability, collaborative permitting processes, and value creation. This reflects Liberty Gold’s commitment to the discipline of delivery.
