Rogers Charity Classic finalizes 2026 field, star-studded lineup set for Calgary PGA TOUR Champions stop
CALGARY — The Rogers Charity Classic has finalized its 2026 player field, bringing another collection of major champions, World Golf Hall of Famers and fan favourites to Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club next week.
The tournament announced Friday that its 78-player field is set for the Aug. 21-23 competition. The field will compete for a US$2.5-million purse in the only PGA TOUR Champions event held in Canada.
Among the biggest names are World Golf Hall of Famer Bernhard Langer and Spanish star Miguel Angel Jiménez, both returning to Calgary. Langer owns a record 47 PGA TOUR Champions victories and five senior major championships, while Jiménez remains one of the tour’s most recognizable personalities.

The tournament also features a strong collection of major champions. Masters winners Mike Weir, Vijay Singh, Zach Johnson and David Duval are in the lineup, along with U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen, and Open Championship winners Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington and Tom Lehman.
Rocco Mediate, the inaugural Rogers Charity Classic champion in 2013, will make his return to Calgary after last competing in the event in 2019. Mediate won the first tournament by seven shots and established the event’s 54-hole scoring record of 22-under par.
Richard Green is also returning to try to defend his title from last year in which he shot an 18-under total.
The field gives Calgary fans a mix of accomplished veterans and established PGA TOUR Champions contenders. Jiménez will again chase the tournament’s distinctive white cowboy hat, while Weir will make his sixth consecutive appearance and look to improve on his best Calgary finish, a tie for ninth in 2021.
While the first round is set for Aug. 21, t he broader event begins on Monday, Aug 17.
The annual event has raised more than $164 million for Alberta children and youth charities since its inception.
