Police said the man became ill and lost consciousness shortly after consuming the alleged GHB. The next morning, when the victim woke, he learned his keys, vehicle and wallet were missing.
The victim later discovered more than $7,000 in unauthorized purchases had been made from his accounts by using his cellphone. Police say approximately $30,000 in fraudulent cheque deposits had also been made.
