Traditional, or “hard”, lofts — those hip, happening New York-style spaces converted from warehouses into residences — are not as prevalent in Vancouver as they once were.

You’ll still find pockets of them in Gastown, Mount Pleasant and Yaletown, many of which are not warehouse conversions per se but more self-styled artist lofts, says Oakwyn Realty’s Andrew Lasko, listing agent for the Richards Street loft condo .
