Exacter Appoints Electric Utility Industry Veteran Brad Johnson to Support Company’s Continued Growth

Financial Post ·

Former Bentley Systems Director joins Exacter to expand utility partnerships and address growing data center demand, grid reliability and wildfire risk

COLUMBUS, Ohio — EXACTER®, Inc., a leader in predictive grid reliability and asset intelligence, today announced that Brad Johnson has joined the company as Industry Executive, Electric Utilities.

Johnson brings more than 15 years of electric utility and energy industry experience to Exacter, most recently serving as Director, Electric Utilities at Bentley Systems (Nasdaq: BSY). His career has focused on helping utilities apply emerging technologies to critical industry challenges, including grid reliability and resilience, transmission and distribution modernization, digital twins, asset management, and the effective use of utility data.

At Exacter, Johnson will build and lead a team focused on expanding the company’s relationships with electric utilities and extending Exacter’s capabilities to other organizations where electric infrastructure reliability is mission-critical, including data centers, industrial customers, and U.S. Department of Defense installations. Johnson and his team will work with customers to improve reliability, support infrastructure readiness, mitigate wildfire risk, and identify and prioritize hidden risks across transmission, distribution, substation, and other critical electrical infrastructure.

A welcome email is on its way. If you don't see it, please check your junk folder.

“Brad is an important addition to Exacter at an important time for both our company and the electric utility industry,” said Geoffrey Bibo, President and CEO of Exacter. “Utilities are facing extraordinary new demands from data centers and other large loads while simultaneously addressing aging infrastructure, reliability, wildfire risk, and resilience. Those same reliability challenges are increasingly important to industrial customers and military installations where electrical failures can have significant operational consequences. Brad’s industry experience, technology background, relationships, and ability to build and lead a strong team will be instrumental as we expand Exacter’s work across these markets.”

Electric utilities are entering a period of significant infrastructure investment driven by increasing electricity demand, data center development, aging grid assets, extreme weather, and growing expectations for reliability and resilience. At the same time, industrial facilities and Department of Defense installations are placing increased emphasis on the reliability and readiness of the electrical infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations.

Exacter’s patented technology identifies RF emissions associated with deteriorating electrical equipment, enabling customers to locate developing conditions that may otherwise remain invisible during conventional inspections.
