Kids running lemonade stand assaulted, woman facing charges: Windsor police

A 61-year-old woman is facing charges for allegedly assaulting two children running a lemonade stand, Windsor police say.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Aug. 3 near Gladstone Avenue and Niagara Street, police said in a news release Thursday.

Two boys, ages eight and 13, had set up a lemonade stand near the intersection when a woman approached “and became hostile toward them.”

“The woman reportedly pushed one child and flipped the other child’s chair, causing him to fall to the ground,” police said.

Both children had minor injuries. Officers arrested a woman at a nearby home later that night.
