Riding the tide at 2026 KPL Summer Finals

After a fierce summer season in the 2026 King Pro League (KPL), the top two teams stood face-to-face on stage at Xiamen Olympic Sports Center.

Chongqing Wolves had dominated much of the regular season, while Guangzhou TTG fought their way out of the losers' bracket.

Roster moves over the season meant former teammates became rivals on this grand final night.

At 10 p.m. on September 12, the two sides were tied after six intense games.

In the decisive seventh match, TTG seized every opening and pushed relentlessly to claim victory.

Huang Cheng, head of KPL at Honor of Kings Esports, said the grit and teamwork shown by the players embody the spirit of esports the league strives to share.

KPL will continue to bring this energy to cities across the country, delivering thrilling matches and immersive live experiences for fans, Huang added.

Honor of Kings is one of the world's most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) mobile games.

The KPL stands as the game's top-tier professional esports tournament in China.
