Chinese vice president meets Kuwaiti FM

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Monday in Beijing.

Han said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Kuwait relations have maintained strong momentum and that exchanges and cooperation in various fields have continued to progress in recent years, adding that China is willing to work with Kuwait to elevate bilateral relations to a higher level.

China stands ready to continue to make efforts to advance peace talks and restore stability in the Middle East at an early date, Han added.

Jarrah said Kuwait appreciates China's support, adding that Kuwait firmly adheres to the one-China principle, highly appreciates the important role China has played in international and regional affairs, and is willing to continuously promote new prospects for Kuwait-China relations.
