Tourists stranded, hikers missing after Grand Canyon flood

A major flash flood swept through the Grand Canyon over the weekend, damaging trails and the canyon’s only water pipeline and forcing officials to close areas and evacuate visitors.

The bodies of a Texas chiropractor and at least one other person have been found, while more than a dozen hikers remain missing.

Officials have also imposed emergency water restrictions and warned of more flooding as heavy rain continues.
