Meta faces trial over teen addiction claims

Opening statements kicked off in federal court on Tuesday, August, in a case against social media giant Meta, who is in court over allegations that its product has led to teen addiction and harm.

The trial is being equated to big tobacco moment — where billions of dollars are at stake, as well as a fundamental transformation of the social media industry.
