China vows resolute countermeasures if UK restricts Chinese EVs
China will take resolute countermeasures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its industry if the UK imposes restrictions on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs), a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce said on Monday.
The spokesperson made the remarks in response to a question regarding reports that the UK may follow the European Union in imposing restrictions on Chinese EVs.
China-UK automotive cooperation is mutually beneficial, the spokesperson said, urging the UK to abide by World Trade Organization (WTO) rules.
